I have labeled this page as such because I am going to discuss topics that your political leadership wish to hide or remain silent about, topics that the mainstream media tends to avoid.

>The War on Drugs

The war on drugs has done to this country what prohibition did in the same way 80 years ago.

          >Gangs with greater fire power than law enforcement

          >Drive-by shootings

          >Corrupt public officials and  law enforcement

          >Widespread availability to the nation's youth

          >A loss of tax revenue

          >Death from toxic drugs  (Alcohol

             included, it is a drug)

My question for everyone reading this:  Which era of prohibition do these six items refer to:  now or then?

          Answer: BOTH!

The modern era of prohibition has expanded our prison system to overflowing, we can't build new one's fast enough.  My home county, Marshall, just spent many millions of dollars to build a new county jail, and the taxpayers wonder why their property taxes are so high.  Combine the new county jails along with all the new state and federal prisons that have been built, it's no wonder your tax burden is so high.  The State of Michigan is now in the situation that, because of their mandatory drug sentencing, their budget for the prison system is higher that for the public schools.  (Congressional candidate Luke Puckett wants mandatory drug sentencing.)

The government needs to get out of the personal lives of the people of this country, and stay within the bounds of the Constitution!

The war on drugs is directly tied to the low price of cocaine in the 1980's. The CIA was losing its' profit margin and had to do something about the competition.  The current war on drugs is basically a means of price stabilization.

If the government was serious about stopping the flow of drugs and going after the importers, they would have arrested Bush Sr. for all the plane loads of cocaine that he had flown into this country while in office.

>Economic wealth

One of greatest problems facing our country is the growing disparity between the rich and working poor.  Over the last 40 years, the top 1% of the economic strata has accumulated more wealth than the bottom 50%.  The tax percentage for the upper income brackets has dramatically decreased during this period.  Corporations in 1940 shouldered  approximately 50% of the U.S. tax burden, and today that has dropped to 14%.  In the last few years, 61% of corporations paid no taxes at all.  There has been a steady change of the tax burden being transfered from those who can most afford it, to those that can least afford it.

>New Age of Imperialism

It is time for new leadership with the courage to put an end to our policy of scattering our troops in military bases around the world in dozens of countries.  In todays' world of high tech, long distant weaponry, there is no need for this practice.  There is nothing in our Constitution that allows our government to engage in a policy of Imperialism, to try to enforce our will upon the people of other countries.   It is morally wrong, and a large part of the reason for our inflated defense budget.   President Eisenhower warned against this at the end of his time in office. and it is time for leadership that is willing to heed this warning.

>The Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve is not a government agency, rather an entity made up of ten banks that are owned and controlled by some of the wealthiest families in the world.  They serve their own interest, and not that of the American people.

We need to eliminate this entity, and begin a practice of using a monetary system where our currency has actual value.

>Treason and Aiding the Enemy

There are those in high places, both in our government and in corporate America, that are guilty of giving aid to our enemy.  Former  officials in the White House directly sold missile components to Iran, the same missiles that in recent times have been pointed at our troops.  A well known corporation used and is probably still using, overseas "front" companies to sell technologies and equipment to Iran, in violation of U.S. sanctions.  (It is the reason Iran has the resources that they now possess).  That same corporation did these things at a time when they were headed by someone that now holds one of the highest offices in this country.  This same corporation recently moved its' headquarters overseas, in my opinion, out of fear that when a new administration comes into power, when the U.S. Justice Department is finally free to do its' job, and the U.S. Attorney General is no longer a puppet for the President, that the heads of this corporation might be criminally charged for their past treasonous acts.  For now, this corporation continues to hold multi-billion dollar defense contracts while pilfering the armed forces and the American people without any interference from the White House.
